Traffic Lite GPS
(Guided Pedagogical Support)
Because AI should support learning—not replace it.
Traffic Lite GPS (powered by Google Gemini) analyzes your Google Classroom assignment draft, infers the learning goals, and recommends the most appropriate AI usage color.
There is no additional workflow. Teachers write assignments in Google Classroom as they normally would, and then click the GPS icon (in the bottom-left corner of the Traffic Lite widget).
School or district partners get access to GPS Premium, which also suggests practical ways to strengthen your assignment for an AI-Forward approach. All suggestions are designed to help teachers ensure that AI supports learning, when appropriate, and does not steal the learning.
Suggestions can be categorized by any combination of the following teaching strategies:
● AI Literacy ● Process Over Product ● Authentic Learning ● Multi-Modal Assessments ● Reflection ● Human + AI Collaboration ● Source Evaluation ● Real-World Application ● Student Voice ● Transparency
It all starts with the learning goal(s).
Unlike general-purpose AI tools, GPS isn't trying to write your lessons for you. It's designed to help teachers make thoughtful instructional decisions that align with the intended learning goals and their AI-usage policy, and to easily implement them at the point of learning.
Here’s what Traffic Lite GPS does:
① Analyze
Traffic Lite GPS reads your Google Classroom assignment.
② Infer
It infers the most likely learning goals based on the assignment you've written.
③ Recommend
It reads your AI-Usage policy and recommends the Traffic Lite color that best aligns with those learning goals.
④ Strengthen
It suggests three practical ideas to make your assignment even stronger while preserving the original learning goals (Premium users only)
